Coffee Table Styling

The humble coffee table presents so many stylistic opportunities when it comes to completing your living space. It is one of our favourite pieces of furniture to style and we’ve developed a foolproof recipe for the perfectly polished table. 

The aim is to style a coffee table that looks aesthetically gorgeous but that doesn’t disrupt the flow or function of the rest of the space. You want to ensure there is still room your coffee cup, glass of wine or favourite book. 

Now let’s break it down:

1. Start by forming a grid using some coffee table books or a gorgeous tray. Piles of magazines also work great for this. 
2. Layer on some ornaments. A mix of metallic and matter surfaces adds dimension. Things like vases, sentimental objects, travel trinkets or sculptural pieces are lovely.
3. Add fragrance! This is the time to add in your favourite scented candle, diffuser or incense stick. If possible keep you colour palette cohesive.
4. Finish with a floral accent…of course! A single orchid stem, some lush green foliage or a posey of seasonal blooms will literally breath life into your vignette.
